HENRY

Henry is a super sweet spaniel mix. He is only 30 lbs and is about a year and a half old. Henry was found dumped on the side of the road with another doggie friend. He was covered in burrs and ticks and was really skinny but is now happy to be in a foster home! He does very well with cats and other dogs and is extremely gentle. He would be fantastic around smaller children and people of all sizes. Henry is a bit shy but is coming out of his shell. He is very curious and adores affection. HUDSON

Hudson is a 10-12 month old JRT/hound mix puppy. He only weighs 28 lbs and will stay in this size range as he gets older. Hudson is fully vetted, house trained, and crate trained. He loves toys and treats and knows "sit", "no," and "off." Hudson can become possessive of food and really nice toys and act out only toward other dogs. He is coming along quickly but it would be best for Hudson to go to a dog-free home. Hudson is never aggressive/snappy with people. We are working on leash training and he is so lovable and sweet! He is a medium-energy dog. Hudson loves children but he needs a home where children will not pick on him or take things away from him and are old enough to practice good manners around a dog. ANGEL

Angel is a husky/shepherd mix who is approximately 3 years old. She was saved last February from a rural Indiana shelter the very day she was set to be euthanized. She only weighed 20 pounds when she was brought to safety, and Angel has proved that she is worthy of life!

She is an extremely outgoing and friendly girl, and does well with cats and other dogs. She loves to play with all kinds of toys, especially the kind she can pull the stuffing out of! She loves to play with other dogs, but will sometimes tease and pick on them because she is still young. She needs to have a doggie friend who is tolerant of this behavior and a family that can provide leadership to her. She would also be fine as an only dog.

Angel is active but not overactive. She likes to lounge around, but also loves to go, go, go! Walks and plenty of playtime are key to keeping Angel balanced and happy. Angel does very well with children and strangers, but it may take her a minute or so to warm up to older men with beards. A fenced yard is required. HOLLY

Holly is a German Shepherd/Husky mix that is 12 weeks old and 25 lbs as of July 17th. She has a wonderful disposition and is always following people around. She was found as a stray in a rural part of Kentucky and is sure glad to be out of the shelter! She gets along well with cats, other dogs, and loves children. While she does have a higher energy level, her focus is great and she would do well with someone willing to provide her with lots of training and exercise. She is smart as a whip and is already making great progress with her house and crate training and knows the "sit" command. Holly loves to play with toys and adores her "doggie swimming pool." TATER - URGENT

Tater is a 6 year old neutered Jack Russell Terrier. He is used to being around other dogs inside a home and is well-mannered around his canine buddies. He doesn't like cats, and he will need to go to a cat-free home. He needs lots of exercise and room to run so a fenced yard is a must for Tater. He is a wonderful lap dog as well as a superstar athlete - the best of both worlds! Tater is being fostered in Frankfort KY and would love to meet you today! COLIN - URGENT

Colin is a 7 year old Great Dane mix. He came from a local shelter as a stray. He is blind in one eye. It would appear that someone either poked him in his eye or damaged it is some way. His blind eye does not bother him at all or affect him in any way. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is house trained and crate trained. Loves people and all dogs. Not sure about cats. He is a very sweet lovable and loyal dog. Very well behaved dog. Colin loves children and make a great family pet. He is being fostered in Frankfort, KY and would love to meet you! KIMMY - URGENT

Kimmy is a 7 year old, 60 lb plott hound mix. She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. She loves to spend time outdoors running and playing with her dog friends. She is very sweet and adores dogs - she really has to have a playmate because she gets depressed when she is alone. She also need to have people time since she is affectionate and loves to be part of the family. Kimmy will chase any small animal that runs so cats probably aren't a good idea. She also is crate trained and a crate is a necessity - Kimmy gets bored when left alone and will get into things if not in a crate. She also loves the neighbor's cat food so much that she taught herself to jump over a 4' fence to go and chow down! She would do well with a privacy fence or an invisible fence system. CECIL AND CLARK - BROTHER KITTENS

These two kittens are located in Brookville IN. They are 10-11 weeks old and are ready for families. They are socialized with cats, dogs, and farm animals but will need loving indoor-only homes. SHEILA NEEDS A FOSTER FAMILY!

Sheila had a sad beginning but her outlook is now much brighter. She was turned in to a rural shelter suffering with a severe case of demodex mange. Parts of her skin were so damaged that they appeared to me made of leather! After the shelter gave her some TLC and the right treatment, Sheila has grown her hair back and is now healthy and happy.
