Lots of fun stuff going on! We are starting to get some new dogs into rescue (finally) and are so excited about it. We love helping new faces! Our dog reunion is in one month so if you are a past adopter, please try to come out. We are hoping for a good turnout and we can't wait to see all of you and your dogs again. Keep up with our events page as we will be adding our summer events as soon as we get them lined up.NEWS UPDATE 4/12/12
Hello! If you are here because of our feature in PetLuxe, thanks for checking us out! We are so glad that you are interested in learning about us and what we do. Please click through the tabs at the top of the screen for more information about us, to see our dogs available for adoption, and to see how you can help. We are attending 3 events this month which makes us busy bees! If you want to volunteer at an event, please fill out our volunteer application. We still need some helpers on Saturday, April 21 at NKU. Also as always we need foster homes. There are several shelters that are full and we can't pull from them as we'd like to. We can match a foster dog's size or energy level to accommodate you. Please check out our "How to help" tab for more info. Happy spring everyone!

Spring is around the corner, we can feel it! Are you looking for a jogging partner? Check out our adoptable dogs or think about fostering to help us out. Keep an eye on our events tab, we've got several things coming up and would love to see you there. We are excited about what this spring will hold for GBCR and we would love for you to be a part of it. Contact us at gbcr@mail.com if you want to help out or learn more about volunteering.

NEWS UPDATE 12/5/11
We have several great dogs available right now! They would all love to join a family for the holidays. If you can't adopt but want to sponsor any of our adoptables, it is a great way to give them gifts that they can take to their adoptive homes like pet beds and collars. We also need foster homes. Please e-mail gbcr@mail.com if you have questions about sponsoring or fostering.
NEWS UPDATE 9/28/11
August was a busy month filled with events, so we are taking a break from venturing out until October 23. Make sure you tell your family and friends about our need for foster homes. More information can be obtained by e-mailing us at gbcr@mail.com or checking out the "how to help" tab on this website.
NEWS UPDATE 7/19/11
You may not see many pets available for adoption. This is because we are limited by the number of open foster homes that we have. Can you open your home to a pet in need and help us save the lives of shelter dogs? Visit our main website www.gbcr.org/how-to-help.php if you would like more information about becoming a foster home. It's so rewarding and fun and we pay for the major expenses like vet care and a crate!
NEWS UPDATE 6/12/11
Wow, what a great time was had by the folks who attended our dog reunion on June 12th! We had many past adopters attend with their dogs and the weather was perfect. We are already looking forward to next year's event when we can have some brand-new adopters to invite. Please attend the PetFest on June 26 if you are looking to adopt or to foster. We will have several adoptable dogs there as well as a raffle and information about becoming a foster home. And of course, please do not take your dog with you during the day this summer if you will need to leave him or her in the car. Even a few minutes can cause your dog's temperature to skyrocket and this can cause brain damage and death. Even with the windows cracked the temperature in a parked car can easily exceed 100 degrees in less than 30 minutes. For more information about dogs, cars, and summer please visit www.mydogiscool.com
