Happy new year!
We need foster homes, please e-mail gbcr@mail.com for more information about fostering or fill out a foster family application if you are ready to volunteer.
NEWS UPDATE 12/5/11
We have several great dogs available right now! They would all love to join a family for the holidays. If you can't adopt but want to sponsor any of our adoptables, it is a great way to give them gifts that they can take to their adoptive homes like pet beds and collars. We also need foster homes. Please e-mail gbcr@mail.com if you have questions about sponsoring or fostering.
NEWS UPDATE 9/28/11
August was a busy month filled with events, so we are taking a break from venturing out until October 23. Make sure you tell your family and friends about our need for foster homes. More information can be obtained by e-mailing us at gbcr@mail.com or checking out the "how to help" tab on this website.
NEWS UPDATE 7/19/11
You may not see many pets available for adoption. This is because we are limited by the number of open foster homes that we have. Can you open your home to a pet in need and help us save the lives of shelter dogs? Visit our main website www.gbcr.org/how-to-help.php if you would like more information about becoming a foster home. It's so rewarding and fun and we pay for the major expenses like vet care and a crate!
NEWS UPDATE 6/12/11
Wow, what a great time was had by the folks who attended our dog reunion on June 12th! We had many past adopters attend with their dogs and the weather was perfect. We are already looking forward to next year's event when we can have some brand-new adopters to invite. Please attend the PetFest on June 26 if you are looking to adopt or to foster. We will have several adoptable dogs there as well as a raffle and information about becoming a foster home. And of course, please do not take your dog with you during the day this summer if you will need to leave him or her in the car. Even a few minutes can cause your dog's temperature to skyrocket and this can cause brain damage and death. Even with the windows cracked the temperature in a parked car can easily exceed 100 degrees in less than 30 minutes. For more information about dogs, cars, and summer please visit www.mydogiscool.com
NEWS UPDATE 5/6/11
Thank you to everyone who visited us last Saturday at the Pet aFair. We had a wonderful time and got the chance to showcase several adoptable dogs. We even had one meet a potential family! We have several great dogs available for adoption, please visit out "Adoptable Dogs" tab for more information and even a few videos! We will be rescheduling our Pet Reunion. There was so much rain in April and we didn't want everyone to be trudging through the mud. We are thinking early June but will e-mail out an update to our past adopters asap. Please spread the word about fostering/volunteering and keep checking our events tab for upcoming summer outings.
NEWS UPDATE 4/1/11
Here we are, spring has arrived! It's the perfect time to get out that old tennis ball and head to the dog park. We are attending the Pet aFair at the end of this month so please check it out on our "events" page. More great news - we're up and running on VolunteerMatch.org! If you want to help out, you can visit us on that site or check out our "how to help" tab. We really really need some more foster homes to bulk up the rescue. Hope everyone has a wonderful spring and hope to see you at our upcoming events.

Hey everyone! The weather is definitely improving and we are getting some warmer days. Spring is around the corner, we can feel it! Are you looking for a jogging partner? Check out our adoptable dogs or think about fostering to help us out. Keep an eye on our events tab, we've got several things coming up and would love to see you there. We are excited about what this warmer weather will hold for GBCR and we would love for you to be a part of it. Contact us at gbcr@mail.com if you want to help out or learn more about volunteering.
NEWS UPDATE 1/19/11
Hope everyone is having a great new year! If you're thinking about adoption, this is a great time. Dogs help cheer up those of us suffering from winter blues! They are also very efficient and cuddly personal space heaters. If you don't want to commit to adoption, please consider fostering. We can find dogs of any size or activity level to suit your preference.
If you planned out any new year's resolutions, why not add one in for the dogs? Resolve to feed a higher quality kibble this year or enroll your canine friend in an obedience class. You'd be surprised how much bonding you can do! Dogs need you to meet their needs so make a plan to improve their lives too.

Welcome to the brand new website for Good Buddies Canine Rescue! We are glad you found us, we are looking forward to becoming a part of greater Cincinnati's pet community. Please check out our other tabs, especially the "How to Help" section. We are looking for foster families to accept animals as they wait for new homes. Since we are just starting out, each foster family means we could save one more dog from being euthanized in a rural Kentucky shelter.
We are looking for volunteers of all kinds, not just foster families. We are looking for legal services as well as accounting services. What a great way to give your time if you are unable to keep an animal in your home! Also, we need crafters to donate items to our proposed Etsy store. We would like to sell pet-related items to directly benefit the animals in our care. Dog collars, bandannas, pet beds, toys, and other crafted accessories are all welcome. This would be a fantastic experience for people who love to create things! We are also looking for a dog trainer to help us with dogs that may need some extra effort. If you think you can help, please contact us.
Contact gbcr@mail.com if you would like the opportunity to be a part of this new rescue.
